Research Administration
Research Director
A/Prof Henry Pollard is the Director of Research in the Department of Health and Chiropractic. His responsibility is to oversee the research activities of the Department, to promote research, to foster the application of research in the teaching of the Department, particularly from the view of evidence based practice.
Higher Degree Research Member
A/Prof Rod Bonello is the Higher Degree Research representative of the Department. His role is to communicate the Departmental activities to the Division and to report Division initiatives to the Department.
Ethics Committees
The two Ethics committees concerned with research are The Human Ethics Committee and the Animal Ethics Committee.
All research projects involving human participants must be presented to the Human Ethics Committee via the Department representative. A/Professor Rod Bonello, a former Chair of the Committee, is the current Departmental representative.
Biosafety Committee
Dr Subra Vemulpad is the Chair of the Biosafety Committee. This Committee reviews all projects which involve biologically hazardous substances.
