Purpose
Formed in 2005, the objective of the Tobacco Retailing Research Project is to assemble an evidence base on the likely impact of any regulatory restrictions on retail tobacco suppply on smoking prevalence. Macquarie University and TCCN have already funded Phase 1 research by the Macquarie team in 2005, and planning is well advanced for the conduct of Phase 2 of the research program in 2006-2008.
