Andrew McHardy
Mr Andrew McHardy is currently in the final stages of his Doctor of Philosophy
into the epidemiology of golf injuries in Australian amateur golfers. In addition he has maintained his clinical work as a chiropractor in private practice, at Cronulla for the last six years and assists in the preparation of Independent Chiropractic Reports for NSW Workcover Authority.
Mr McHardy commenced studying at Sydney University in 1995 and graduated in 1997 with a Bachelor of Medical Science. In 1999 he graduated with a Masters of Chiropractic in 1999. In addition, he completed a Graduate Diploma in Chiropractic Paediatrics 2003, from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technelogy (RMIT).
Mr McHardy has a focus on sports related injury and has authored a number of papers on injuries sustained during golf, soccer and triathlon. Mr McHardys’’ research interests are sports injury based with an emphasis on epidemiological research and evidence based medicine. He has presented research results and literature at sports medicine conferences international as well as chiropractic conferences nationally. Mr. McHardy has spent time acting as a sports chiropractor to a number of local football and soccer teams in his local area since becoming a chiropractor. He is a member of the Chiropractic & Osteopathic College of Australasia (COCA) and was a founding member of MIMG.
