Bachelor of Health (Honours)

From 2005 students with a proven record of academic achievement in either the Community or International Health strands of the Bachelor of Health degree will be able to undertake a fourth year of study to obtain a BHealth (Honours) degree

The Honours program has been designed to:


Admission requirements

Completion of a B Health degree with an overall GPA of 2.5 and a GPA of 3.0 at 300-level.

Program of Study

Students will be required to undertake a piece of supervised research in a chosen area of interest (16 credit points) as well as complete 8 credit points of coursework.

The research project will take the form of a dissertation or thesis of no more than 20,000 words. The coursework will comprise a new core unit (HLTH 400 Theoretical Foundations of Health Studies 4cp), along with an elective unit from another Department (e.g. a unit on research methodology and/or a special reading program, depending on the student’s specific research topic and interests).
