Postgraduate Studies in Chiropractic

The Master of Chiropractic is a course of study required by Australian Chiropractic Registration Boards for those who wish to become registered chiropractic practitioners. There are only two pathways into the Master of Chiropractic:

  1. Successful completion of the Bachelor of Chiropractic Science at Macquarie University
  2. Successful completion of a Bachelor of Science/Health Science/Medical Science/Exercise Science or Health Related Degree where studies in anatomy, physiology and other general science have been undertaken PLUS successful completion of the full-fee paying Postgraduate Qualifying Program for the Master of Chiropractic (can be 1 or 2 years of study)

Or will we see substantial improvements in disability-free years and the pushing up of boundaries of active and productive middle age? With increasing pressure on government budgets, how will scarce health resources be best allocated – and who will decide what’s ‘best’? How will families, businesses, and local communities respond to these changes?
